Blind Fire Rebels, were formed in late 2012, originally under the name 'Crossfire Hurricane' in the small English town of Staines in Surrey. The creation of band came about as aspiring musicians Kieran Gawley (Rhythm guitar) and Mike Alderson (Lead vocals) joined up with James Bickley (Lead guitar), Tom Ridler (Bass guitar) and Robin Rathbone (Drums) due to the trio's split with their previous band 'These Are Teeth'.
Our main influences come from a range of blues, rock n' roll and metal. Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Coheed and Cambria, Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters to name but a few of bands that inspired us to pick up our intruments and rock out!
After gigging for a couple of years under the name Crossfire Hurricane, we changed to 'Blind Fire Rebels' in 2014 as we looked to take the band in another direction.
We recorded our first EP under BFR, with producer Sam Burden of Empire Recording Studios, Surrey in October 2014 where we looked to write new songs that gave our listeners 'balls to the wall' rock and roll songs, with catchy riffs, crunching solos and massive guitar harmonies!
With 2014 out of the way and 2015 begining, we took to the road to play numerous shows in and around London. Shows which included great nights headlining the O2 Acdemy 2 Islington and the Workshop at the Roadtrip in shorditch.
In April 2015 we recorded 3 tracks with The Animal Farm in London, We'll be releasing new music through the year so keep you eyes and ears open!
So as we move on and write more songs, we hope that you really feel what we're playing and stick around to see what we've got to give, check out our shows (come say Hi!) and look to move forward onto bigger better things!
